From July 21st to 25th, 2015, a series of seminars on educational opportunities in Germany and Korea was Co-hosted by Indochina Education Development Group and World Education in different universities, institutes and colleges in India.
The series included 12 seminars which was conducted in 5 days from July 21st to 25th and was taken place in 11 universities, institutes and colleges in India like Anna University (Chennai), Knowledge Institute of Technology (Salem), Kongu Engineering College (Perundurai), Mahendra College of Engineering (Salem), etc.
Each seminar offered participants an in-depth look at the education system, culture and society of Germany and Korea and provided them great chances for networking with international consultants and finding out about these two countries’ universities, institutes and colleges. All participants gained a new perspective on the need to internationalize Germany and Korea campuses and the way how it can be done as well. Especially, the participants also had the opportunities to learn about cost free education in Germany, scholarships in Korea and job opportunities in both countries.
In the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2008, six of the top 100 universities in the world, and 18 of the top 200, are in Germany and most of the German universities are public institutions, and students have traditionally studied without fee payment. About Korea, the Program for International Student Assessment, coordinated by the OECD, ranks South Korea’s science education as the third best in the world and being significantly higher than the OECD average.
